Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team delivering high-profile infrastructure and energy projects across Scotland. In this role, you will provide commercial leadership on projects, manage costs, and ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle. This is a hands-on position for someone confident working closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to achieve successful project delivery.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for all commercial aspects of assigned projects, including cost planning, procurement, contract management, and risk control. You’ll support the project team by providing accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with contracts, and helping to drive efficient project execution.
Manage the commercial aspects of infrastructure and energy projects from start to finishConduct procurement and manage subcontractor contracts and variationsMonitor project costs, report progress, and recommend corrective actions where necessaryEnsure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and industry standardsProduce regular financial reports for clients and senior managementSupport risk management and advise on commercial implications of project decisionsLiaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve commercial issues Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure, or energy sectorsDegree or HND in Quantity Surveying or Construction ManagementStrong understanding of NEC, JCT, or similar contract formsExperience managing project budgets, procurement, and commercial reportingFull UK driving licence Opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure and energy projects across ScotlandExposure to challenging projects with career progression opportunitiesLegal Information:
