Under a PE-backedgroup parent company, the business is entering a significant growthphase. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Manufacturing General Manager to leadthe business as a standalone operating unit and drive the nextstage of operational and commercial development.
The Role
Reporting to the Group COO, the General Manager will havefull accountability for the performance of the business, includingstrategy and day‑to‑day execution.
Keyresponsibilities include:
- Leadingthe business as a standalone unit with full P&Lresponsibility
- Translating Group objectivesinto a clear, deliverable operating plan
- Driving operational excellence across manufacturing,engineering and service delivery
- Strengtheningmanagement capability, systems and performancediscipline
- Building a more commerciallyconfident culture while maintaining strong customercredibility
- Supporting growth acrosspublic‑sector and wider UK healthcare markets
- Scaling the business significantly over the next twoyears.
The role requires closeengagement with customers, engineers, operational teams and seniorstakeholders.
The Person
This role will suit a commercially astute, operationallycredible leader with experience in manufacturing-ledenvironments.
You are likely to bring:
- A proven track record within engineering ledmanufacturing businesses.
- Exposure tohealthcare product manufacturing is desirable but not aprerequisite.
- Experience leading a standalonebusiness or operational unit with P&L ownership
- A track record of improving operational efficiency,quality and delivery performance
- Commercialcapability alongside operational depth
- Thepresence to operate confidently with senior stakeholders andBoards
- Experience working for PE-backedbusinesses would be advantageous.
- A calm andauthentic style with the ability to bring clarity and pace to agrowing organisation while maintaining a collaborative,people-centred culture.
