Job Description Infection Prevention and Control Nurse 37.5 Hours Cherwell Hospital, Banbury We are currently expanding our team at The Cherwell Hospital and have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurse to join our team as an Infection Prevention Control (IPC) Lead Nurse for 22.5 hrs a week. This can be considered a full-time position with the remaining 15 hours being assigned to work in your area of clinical expertise; It is essential you can provide evidence-based IPC clinical advice and support by leading in surveillance, prevention and control of infection in the hospital setting by promoting and maintaining high standards of IPC practices with regard to safety of patients, staff and visitors by providing. You will be able to demonstrate this with evidence of your commitment to continual professional development’. Leading in surveillance, prevention and control of infection in the hospital setting. Current NMC registration. Infection Prevention and Control Course qualification (Desirable) Essential Experience Recent experience as a registered nurse in acute surgical care environment. Desirable Experience Previous experience with surgical site surveillance Tissue viability knowledge Audit/surveillance experience including Surgical site infection surveillance service (SSISS) Familiarity with the Patient safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) and report writing.
