Senior PLC Software Engineer

We’re working with a clean-energy business developing next-gen ammonia cracking to hydrogen systems, now looking for a hands-on Senior PLC Engineer to support the scale-up of their technology.

This role focuses on PLC development alongside real-world commissioning, taking systems from design through to live operation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing PLC software (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal preferred)
• Supporting system integration (HMI, instrumentation, control systems)
• Testing, validation and simulation where required
• Leading commissioning, fault finding and debugging on-site
• Bringing structure and rigour to software development

What we’re looking for:

• Strong PLC experience from a chemical process or manufacturing industry.
• Degree educated, in a relevant field of study.
• Comfortable working across the full lifecycle.
• Confident troubleshooting live systems.
• Siemens experience ideal, but open.
