SC Cleared Data Scientist – Cybersecurity

A client in the public sector digital services industry is seeking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the team for 12 months. You will provide hands-on technical delivery across the full data stack on a major counter-fraud analytics program, working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

You will report into the data and analytics lead, helping to enhance fraud detection capabilities and support better data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on data science and analytics within a cross-functional counter-fraud team
• Build and maintain analytical models, pipelines and fraud detection solutions using BigQuery, Python, DataForm and JavaScript procedures
• Diagnose issues, articulate risks and propose practical solutions in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment
• Collaborate effectively with civil service stakeholders and contractor teams, contributing to an established roadmap

Requirements

• Senior-level hands-on Data Scientist (SFIA level 5+) with strong capability in BigQuery, DataForm, JavaScript procedures and Python
• Proven full-stack data experience from pipeline build through to analysis and deployment
• Able to work autonomously, navigate ambiguity and independently resolve complex technical problems
• Holds valid BPSS clearance within the last 12 months and current SC clearance
