Are you a Quality Manager, Responsible Person or WQP with experience in pharmaceutical GDP environments?
We are currently supporting a search for a Quality Manager (WQP) with a global pharmaceutical company based in Northamptonshire.
This is a standalone Quality role, reporting directly to the UK Country Manager, responsible for ensuring GDP compliance and the integrity of our client’s the UK distribution network.
The company is a global organisation, with a close-knit UK affiliate known for its collaborative culture and long employee tenure.
The Role
As Quality Manager / WQP, you will lead the UK Quality function and ensure compliance on relevant frameworks and standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as WQP on the UK Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (WDA)
- Leading and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Managing GDP compliance across the UK distribution network
- Overseeing supplier and customer qualification
- Managing deviations, complaints, recalls and investigations
- Preparing the organisation for regulatory inspections and audits
- Delivering GDP training across the UK business
- Working closely with Regulatory, Supply Chain and Global Quality teams
Profile
We are interested in candidates with experience in pharma or vet quality environments, particularly those with exposure to GDP or wholesale distribution.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience in pharmaceutical quality roles (GDP / GMP)
- Strong understanding of WDA and GDP compliance
- Experience managing QMS, audits and inspections
- Ability to operate in a standalone Quality leadership role
- WQP or Responsible Person experience highly desirable
Candidates from human pharma, biotech, or animal health backgrounds will be considered.
