Senior Consultant – Energy & Utilities Recruitment – Base £30k–£40k (DOE)

Open to recruiters switching from adjacent markets — logistics, industrials, property or tech backgrounds considered.

A quick note: this role is for people who understand a genuine 360 process and can hit the ground running. Market experience matters less than hunger, work ethic and the ability to BD in a new space.

This is a £10m NFI recruitment business with six divisions spanning Energy, Tech, Nuclear, Trading and Commodities. Profitable for 10 consecutive years, they’ve grown significantly over the past three and now sit at 50 heads across London, Boston and an offshore team in India — with a clear target of 75 this year.

Their Energy & Utilities division is one of their most established — covering traditional energy supply chain across power, gas, water and civils across the UK and Europe. The team is led by a specialist with 15 years in the space who joined earlier this year to build the division out properly. It’s a contract-heavy, client-focused desk with strong regional coverage and a brand that’s been built the right way over time.

They need 2–3 people in this team immediately, and this is a genuine opportunity to join a market that very few agencies operate in properly.

The Details

  • Salary £30k–£40k (DOE)
  • Desk focus — UK and European energy supply chain (power, gas, water, civils)
  • Commission — up to 45% tiered on perm, 35% on contract, no threshold
  • UK AOV circa £15k
  • 300 live contractors on the book
  • 4 days in office, WFH Wednesday — Thursday WFH for consultants on target
  • Early finish Fridays
