Maintenance Manager – Property Services / Compliance (M&E)
Location: Milton Keynes (Office & Site-Based)
Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour PAYE | £25.17 per hour Umbrella
Contract: Temporary (6 months, with potential extension)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Seven Resourcing are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a busy Environment & Property Services team in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with strong experience in statutory compliance, property maintenance, and M&E (mechanical and electrical) contracts to step into a key operational role.
This role is initially offered as sickness cover for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
For the first 3 months, the role will be primarily office-based (5 days per week), with the opportunity to work one day from home thereafter depending on performance and reliability. The role will involve an approximate 80% office and 20% site-based split, requiring regular on-site inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of maintenance and compliance services across a property portfolio
- Manage and monitor statutory compliance contracts, ensuring all legal and safety obligations are met
- Supervise and coordinate M&E (mechanical and electrical) maintenance works
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are maintained
- Work closely with contractors and internal teams to ensure timely and effective service delivery
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs)
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements
- Support the planning and delivery of planned and reactive maintenance programmes
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager, Property Manager, or Facilities Manager role
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance within property and housing services
- Essential experience with M&E (mechanical and electrical systems and contracts)
- Experience managing contractors and maintenance service delivery
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance standards
- Ability to balance office-based management with on-site inspections
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Standard DBS required
