Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Group Finance Manger to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management and financial accounting and process improvements. You will join our team and support the company mission to deliver excellence through professionalising the finance function and delivering accurate financials which supporting shaping decision-making and drive long-term value.
Reporting to the interim Fractional Chief Financial Officer you will have a significant amount of responsibility and there are excellent opportunities for career progression.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering accurate and timely management accounts and financial information
- Lead on technical accounting matters, audit processes and system improvements
- Ownership of payables and receivables, company card, balance sheet reconciliations and month end schedules
- Strength and improve financial processes, controls and reporting frameworks
- Own regulatory reporting, including VAT returns and filing statutory returns
- Ownership of cash and treasury management
- Support cashflow forecasting and working capital management
- Support the commercial finance manager with budgets and month end reporting
- Other Ad hoc duties to support the team/business as required
- Managing and developing a Finance Assistant
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience:
· Strong finance experience
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to communicate complex financial information clearing
· Experience in processes, systems and/or reporting frameworks
· Payroll experience beneficial
Key Skills and Attributes:
· UK accounting qualification with recognised body (ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong organisational and time management skills
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Highly proficient in Excel and Xero
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Commitment to professional development and keeping up with industry changes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £50,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
