Commercial Finance Manager | Property Development | London

A fantastic opportunity to join a leading London developer in a highly commercial finance role.

You will be a qualified accountant with 3-6 years PQE and have an interest in the property sector and the ambition to be involved in an impactful business partnering role with significant senior stakeholder engagement.

The Finance Manager role influences decision-making across every stage of the project with project values upto £1 billion. Working closely with broader business teams the role

plays a critical role in driving the business plan, profitability, cost management and successful project delivery.

The Role:

Commercial Finance Manager to partner closely with the Project Director and project team, providing both strategic and operational financial leadership across a major London residential development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial lead, providing robust challenge and insight across all key decisions
  • Own profit and cashflow forecasting for the project
  • Deliver clear, timely reporting on project performance, including weekly and monthly updates
  • Business partner with senior stakeholders, including Project Directors, Finance Directors, and Boards
  • Monitor and manage project risks, costs, and commercial performance
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to optimise revenue, cost efficiency, and development strategy
  • Oversee tax considerations and ensure compliant, efficient structures
  • Support procurement through financial assessments of subcontractors and tender processes
  • Analyse sales performance, advising on pricing and product mix where appropriate
  • Coach and support site teams on financial processes, controls, and best practice
  • Present financial insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders

About You

  • Qualified Accountant with post-qualified experience in a commercial finance role
  • Strong business partnering capability with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
  • Proven experience in forecasting, financial analysis, and project-based environments
  • Highly numerate and analytically strong, with advanced Excel skills
  • Interest in the construction / property sector (experience advantageous)
  • Well organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
