A leading UK national law firm with a strong real estate and infrastructure platform is seeking to appoint a Projects Partner to support a major new national mandate and drive the continued expansion of its rail sector offering. This is a strategic hire arising from a significant new instructions from their established client base requiring coordinated advice across multiple practice areas.

The Opportunity

  • Join a nationally recognised real estate and infrastructure practice with a growing reputation in the rail sector.
  • Work closely with the lead partner on a substantial, multi‑year rail project involving complex property, regulatory, commercial and operational issues.
  • Play a central role in shaping and expanding the firm’s railways capability, with full support from a collaborative national partnership.
  • Access a diverse client base including transport bodies, infrastructure operators, developers, local authorities and private‑sector stakeholders.
  • Benefit from a platform known for cross‑practice integration, long‑term client relationships and investment in strategic growth areas.

Key Experience Sought

  • Significant experience advising on rail infrastructure, transport property, or major projects within the rail sector.
  • Strong understanding of the property, regulatory, commercial and operational frameworks governing the UK rail industry.
  • Experience acting for transport bodies, infrastructure owners, operators, developers or public‑sector clients.
  • Ability to lead complex, multi‑disciplinary matters involving real estate, planning, environmental, commercial and construction interfaces.
  • Proven capability to manage stakeholder relationships across large‑scale, multi‑party projects.
  • Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers within a growing team.
