Role Overview
As a Data Centre / Critical Site Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance across electrical and associated building systems. Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring site resilience, uptime, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Technical DeliveryCarry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance in line with schedulesDeliver all engineering tasks to a high technical and professional standardSupport the maintenance of critical infrastructure systems (electrical, power, backup systems)Supervise subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of worksProvide out-of-hours call-out support on a rota basisCompliance, Reporting & DocumentationProduce accurate technical reports and maintenance documentationEnsure all activities meet statutory, contractual, and compliance requirementsEscalate critical incidents or system failures promptlyAssist with technical input for quotations relating to remedial or project worksParticipate in risk assessments, audits, and incident investigationsCommunication & Professional StandardsCommunicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teamsAttend meetings, training sessions, and operational briefingsComplete and submit timesheets and reports accurately and on timeMaintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all timesHealth, Safety & Environmental ComplianceEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standardsFollow safe systems of work and industry best practicesPromote a proactive safety-first culture across all site activitiesEnsure proper handling and use of tools, materials, and equipmentEssential RequirementsLevel 2 & Level 3 Electrical Qualifications18th Edition Wiring RegulationsHVAP / LVAP AuthorisationExperience working in critical environments, data centres, or similar (preferred)Why Apply?Work within a stable, recession-resistant industryClear career progression into senior engineering or specialist rolesOngoing training and professional developmentExposure to high-value, mission-critical infrastructure…
