We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Compliance Manager (UK) for an 8 month contract working on a remote working basis.
You will take full ownership of governance and regulatory reporting within a dynamic, regulated fintech business.
This is a high-impact role within the second line of defence, with ownership of UK entity compliance oversight and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the UK Risk & Compliance Committee (agenda, materials, actions)
* Own regulatory reporting & notifications (incl. complaints, fraud, incidents, returns)
* Design and deliver a robust, risk-based compliance monitoring programme
* Oversee governance frameworks, MI, and escalation pathways
* Provide independent challenge to the first line and support remediation efforts
* Advise on UK regulatory requirements (FCA Handbook etc)
* Deliver clear reporting to senior stakeholders and present at governance forums
About you:
- You will have ideally worked in the payments sector.
- You will be an experienced compliance professional within UK regulated financial services and you will have a strong working knowledge of the UK regulatory framework.
- You will have proven experience running committees and setting up and operating compliance monitoring and testing programmes.
- Strong knowledge of FCA requirements and regulatory reporting is essential.
- Ability to design monitoring frameworks and drive continuous improvement
- Use of AI – ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity
