Job Description:A well-established manufacturer in Mildenhall, Suffolk is growing its team to meet increasing production demands. They are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to optimise machinery and processes within both the Lathe and Assembly departments. This role provides an excellent opportunity to take ownership in a fast-paced environment focused on continuous improvement and hands-on problem-solving.
What’s the pay & hours?
This position offers a competitive starting salary of £35,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. You’ll work a standard 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.
Production Engineer Duties?
Maintaining and repairing multispindle lathe machines and automated assembly equipmentDiagnosing faults related to machine wear and product qualityAssisting with machine operation to support production output when neededInvestigating and implementing process improvements and cost-saving measuresProviding training and support for new and existing team membersUsing maintenance software to log and complete tasksWho are we looking for? The ideal candidate will:
Have 5-10 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably 24/7 or shift-basedPossess a strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with multispindle lathes, automated assembly machines, and toolmaking processesBe self-motivated, disciplined, and a great team playerHave experience working within ISO 9001:2015 standardsWhat are the benefits?
