Electrical Design & Controls EngineerLocation: BristolJob Type: Temp / Contract – 3 monthsPayrate: £22-£27 per hour DOEWe are recruiting an Electrical & Controls Design Engineer to work on modern, automated machinery, focusing on PLC programming, control system design, and commissioning. This is a hands-on technical role based in Bristol.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical control systems for automated machineryDevelop and program PLC software using Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) and Beckhoff (TwinCAT)Support HMI development and machine control architectureConduct control system safety analysis using SistemaEnsure compliance with CE, NEC, CSA, and UL standardsCommission machinery on-site and at customer locations as requiredCollaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to deliver coordinated designsTroubleshoot, test, and optimise control systemsSuggest improvements to machine performance, reliability, and safetyCandidate RequirementsHands-on experience in PLC programming and electrical control systemsPractical experience with Rockwell and/or Beckhoff PLC platformsStrong experience creating AutoCAD electrical drawingsExperience with automated machinery or industrial equipment (packaging or manufacturing advantageous)Experience with Agile PLM softwareWe welcome applications who are passionate about electrical and controls design, even if you don’t tick every box.
