The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer to join a leading electronics company, developing advanced mixed-signal hardware for real-world applications. This is a hands-on role with full ownership of hardware projects, from concept through to production, allowing you to make a tangible impact while mentoring junior engineers and influencing product direction.
You’ll work in a cooperative, cross-functional environment, taking responsibility for complex design challenges and helping shape the future of our hardware products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and take full ownership of digital and analogue hardware design, including schematics and complex multilayer PCB layouts using Altium Designer
- Define product specifications with Product Management and drive designs through development, prototyping, and validation
- Debug and verify hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and other lab equipment
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders
- Solve complex engineering challenges and act as a technical authority across projects
- Manage hardware projects from concept to production release while ensuring compliance with safety, EMC, and industry standards
- Remain highly hands-on, contributing practically to all aspects of hardware design rather than solely managing
Essential Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in electronic hardware design with strong expertise
- Expertise in Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout
- Strong knowledge of mixed-signal design, high-speed digital circuits, and power management
- Hands-on experience with hardware debugging, simulation, and validation tools
- Exceptional communicator with strong leadership and mentoring abilities
- Experience working in cooperative teams and managing complex projects from concept to production
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of RF design principles
- Experience with FPGA or microcontroller-based systems
