Quality Manager

Mazco Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established, high-spec precision engineering business to recruit an experienced Quality Manager.

This is a key leadership role within the organisation, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of the Quality Management System, drive quality performance, and lead inspection operations, while remaining hands-on where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with AS9100 / ISO9001 standards
• Lead internal, external, and customer audits
• Monitor, analyse, and report on quality KPIs to senior management
• Oversee the inspection department, supervising a small, skilled team
• Support hands-on inspection activities when required
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, NCRs, and corrective actions
• Review and coordinate FAIRs, PPAPs, and inspection documentation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality processes

Requirements

• Proven experience managing a QMS within AS9100 and/or ISO9001 environments
• Strong background in precision engineering / CNC machining
• Experience operating and programming CMM equipment
• Ability to program CMMs using PC-DMIS (from CAD models)
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a quality function
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and internal teams
