An Academy in Southend on Sea, Essexis looking for an ECT of Englishto join them on apermanent, full-time basis from September 2026.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach Englishacross Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that challenge and support students
• Contribute to the development of the history curriculum and department initiatives
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback

The Ideal Candidate

• HoldsQualified Teacher Status (QTS)or equivalent
• Has strong subject knowledge inEnglish
• Has experience teaching in a secondary school setting
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Is committed to raising student achievement and supporting personal development
