Contract / Commercial Manager

We’re looking for a Contract / Commercial Manager to support business operations by providing practical commercial guidance and helping manage agreements with clients and suppliers.

This role sits within a central support function and works closely with teams across the organisation to ensure a consistent, well-managed approach to contracts and business risk.

The Role

You’ll help review, draft, and manage a range of commercial agreements, support negotiations, and provide day-to-day advice to colleagues on contractual matters. You’ll also contribute to maintaining processes, supporting compliance activities, and helping the business manage risk effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and support the preparation of contracts and agreements

  • Assist with negotiations and supplier/client discussions

  • Provide clear, practical advice on commercial matters

  • Support contract changes, issues, and queries as they arise

  • Work with internal teams to maintain consistent processes and standards

  • Contribute to risk tracking and general governance activities

About You

  • Experience in a commercial, contracts, or procurement-related role

  • Strong communication and stakeholder skills

  • Good attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach

  • Confident contract negotiator

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualification or professional background

  • Familiarity with structured contract frameworks within engineering or energy sector
