A well-established building services and facilities management contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Engineer to join their expanding Midlands team. You’ll be working across a varied portfolio of commercial and industrial sites, delivering high-quality service, maintenance, and fault-finding support.

The Role
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across HVAC systems
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults
- Servicing and maintaining:
- Split and multi-split systems
- VRV / VRF systems
- AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation systems
- Heat pumps and chillers (where applicable)
- Performing leak detection, pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging
- Completing service reports and F-Gas compliance documentation
- Liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Working in line with F-Gas regulations and Health & Safety standards
- Participating in an on-call rota (typically 1 in 6 to 1 in 8)
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an HVAC / AC Service Engineer
- F-Gas Category 1 certification
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Solid understanding of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- Experience with chillers, heat pumps, or ventilation systems
- 18th Edition (BS7671)
- IPAF / PASMA
