Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Estates & Facilities Manager to oversee the operational management, maintenance and compliance of our London sites. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring our buildings, grounds and facilities are safe, secure, efficient and fully compliant with statutory and organisational requirements. You’ll lead maintenance scheduling, oversee repairs through the central helpdesk system, manage academy vehicles, and act as a key holder for out-of-hours response. The role involves coordinating contractors from tendering through to performance monitoring, maintaining accurate asset and M&E records using iAM Compliant, and supporting capital building projects as the on-site project coordinator. This role is 37 hours per week, all year round and based across our London academies, satellite provisions and managed intervention centres.

This role would suit someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills and a hands‑on, solutions‑focused approach. If you have previously worked as a caretaker, site supervisor or site manager this role would be the next step for you! We are looking for someone with a Higher National Diploma or Higher Technical Qualification in an equivalent related area such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Building Services Engineering. The successful candidate will have good practical knowledge of management and maintenance of building, mechanical, electrical and other infrastructure systems. You will be up to date with knowledge of statutory regulations and guidance relating to this post.
