Quantity Surveyor Cambridgeshire An established and growing construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a main contracting background to join its commercial team in Cambridgeshire .
The role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, education, commercial, and rail sectors, covering new build, refurbishment, and fit-out works. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working across varied project types while applying strong contractor-side commercial expertise in a professional consultancy environment. Commercial Management Manage all commercial aspects of projects from pre-contract through to final account, ensuring effective cost control, value engineering, and commercial reporting in line with contractor best practice. Prepare tender documentation, evaluate subcontractor packages, place orders, and manage subcontractor accounts, including variations, valuations, and final accounts. Produce accurate cost value reconciliations (CVRs), cash flow forecasts, and monthly commercial reports, identifying risks and opportunities and advising project stakeholders accordingly. Change Control & Contract Administration Administer variations, change events, and contractual correspondence under standard forms of contract, supporting project teams to protect commercial position and maximise project value. Stakeholder & Project Team Collaboration Work closely with site teams, project managers, clients, and consultants to ensure projects are delivered commercially efficiently, on time, and within budget across a broad range of sectors and work types.
