Electrical Maintenance Engineer Food Manufacturing |Peterborough Salary: £46,000 £52,000 per annum + Overtime + Benefits Shift Pattern: Flexible (Days / Double Days / Nights Site Dependent) Sector: Food Manufacturing / FMCG / Automated Production The Role Opportunity within a modern food production facility serving UK-wide customers. This is a stable, long-term opportunity within a high-volume, fast-paced food production environment, supplying major UK retailers. You will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and improving automated production and packaging machinery to ensure maximum uptime and food safety compliance. Electrical fault-finding on automated food production machinery Working with PLC-controlled systems (Siemens / Allen Bradley preferred) Planned and reactive maintenance across production and packaging lines Minimising downtime in a high-output FMCG environment Supporting hygiene, food safety, and audit standards (BRC, GMP) Assisting with machinery upgrades and installations About You You will be an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer with: NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) Proven experience in food manufacturing / FMCG / high-speed production Strong electrical fault-finding ability Comfortable working flexible shift patterns A proactive, reliable approach to maintenance Multi-skilled (basic mechanical skills) Flexible shift patterns to suit lifestyle~ Paid overtime at enhanced rates~ Secure role with a national food manufacturer~ Ongoing training and development~ Clear progression opportunities~ Pension, holidays, and additional benefits
