Job Description:

We are looking for a 9 month FTC to start ASAP – 3 days a week in the office and 2 from home. The company designs and develops a wide range of products across soft toys, wooden toys and gifting, supplying a diverse customer base including toy, nursery and gift retailers. You’ll be part of a collaborative Product Development & Creative team, working closely with cross-functional teams including Brand, Marketing, QA and Supply Chain, in a fast-paced environment focused on innovation and bringing products to market. Role Overview This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity based in West London, with occasional travel required. Reporting to the Director of Product Development, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept through to production, ensuring products are delivered on time, on budget and in line with brand and commercial objectives.

  • Own and deliver product ranges in line with business strategy, timelines and commercial targets
  • Manage the full NPD lifecycle, ensuring critical paths and key milestones are met
  • Analyse product performance and market trends to inform future development
  • Conduct market and competitor research to ensure innovation and competitiveness
  • Manage product costing, ensuring margin targets are achieved
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop commercially viable products
  • Build and manage supplier relationships, including sourcing and negotiation
  • Oversee product approvals with licensors and stakeholders
  • Ensure accurate product and packaging specifications
  • Maintain clear communication across departments on product updates
  • Work closely with QA/QC to ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards
  • Manage product samples from concept through to final approval
  • Support sales and marketing with product presentations and materials

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in product development within consumer goods
  • Commercially aware with experience in costing and supplier negotiation
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Confident working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of compliance and quality standards
