Senior Analyst – Physical Security Technologies Market Research Practice. This role is based in our 240 Blackfriars office and offers the opportunity to lead market research initiatives, deliver actionable insights, and shape thought leadership in the fast‑evolving physical security industry.
What You’ll Be DoingResearch & Data Analysis
- Conduct primary research through interviews, surveys, and fieldwork to gather and validate market data.
- Perform secondary research to synthesize external data and support market assessments.
- Develop and maintain quantitative models to forecast market sizes and trends.
- Ensure data accuracy and document methodologies for transparency.
Insights & Reporting
- Deliver qualitative and quantitative analysis on market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities.
- Write detailed market research reports with clear strategic recommendations.
- Create compelling presentations for client engagements and industry events.
Client Engagement
- Support custom consulting projects tailored to client needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Represent Omdia at industry events, sharing thought leadership and insights.
Collaboration
- Work with analysts across global regions to ensure consistent methodologies and comprehensive market coverage.
- Partner with internal teams, including database and customer success teams, to enhance research quality.
QualificationsExperience
- 3–5 years of experience in market research or the physical security industry.
- Expertise in primary research, forecasting, and competitive analysis.
- Familiarity with security systems integration, intruder alarms, or monitoring services is a plus.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and forecasting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear, actionable reports.
- Self‑motivated and proactive, with excellent time‑management skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferable.
Languages
- Business‑level English is required.
