We’re looking for a commercially driven Manager to take ownership of a £10m+ budget and full P&L responsibility within a growing builders merchant business based in Bedford.
This role is focused on driving margin, negotiating with suppliers, and strengthening commercial partnerships to ensure the business remains competitive while delivering profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Full P&L responsibility for a £10m+ budgetNegotiating pricing, rebates, and commercial terms with suppliersManaging and developing supplier relationshipsBuying and procurement of building materialsIdentifying opportunities to increase margin and reduce costsManaging and developing a teamWorking closely with senior leadership to drive commercial performanceAbout You
Background within a builders merchant, building materials supplier, or construction supply businessExperience in roles such as Branch Manager, Procurement, Purchasing, Commercial or Operations with budget responsibilityProven experience negotiating with suppliers and managing commercial termsStrong commercial xwzovoh mindset with experience managing budgets £10m+Experience managing and developing a teamComfortable owning P&L performance and driving profitabilityPackage
