Tucked away in the scenic village of Strathblane, Dumbrock House is a welcoming home for children and young people aged 8 to 16. With its own beautiful grounds and strong links to the local community, Dumbrock is somewhere young people feel safe, supported, and ready to take on new challenges. We are recruiting Relief Support Practitioners to support children and young people within our residential Children and Family Services. This is a flexible, relief role providing cover as required to help maintain safe, stable and nurturing environments. This is a hands on, relationship based role where you will work directly with children and young people, supporting daily routines, emotional wellbeing and positive experiences within a consistent and therapeutic setting. Provide direct care and support to children and young people in line with individual needs* Support daily routines, education, activities and community engagement* Contribute to care planning, recording and reporting* Support young people to attend appointments, activities and family contact as required* Work flexibly across a relief rota, including evenings, weekends and sleepovers You will have experience of working with children and young people in a care or support setting and be confident building consistent, respectful relationships. You will hold, or be working towards, an HNC Social Care and SVQ Level 3, be willing to register with the SSSC, and hold a full UK manual driving licence.
