The Opportunity
The Finance Systems Transformation Programme is a major change initiative that supports Arup’s Global Finance Vision. The programme will transform our future finance capabilities by enabling significant operational change through the worldwide implementation of Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM across Arup. Delivering a modern cloud‑based finance foundation will unify data and processes, enhance decision‑making, increase efficiency and improve user experience, strengthening our organisation for the future.
The Programme will be delivered by a dedicated, collaborative, cross‑functional, and multi‑location team working closely with our Finance team, wider business and the implementation partner to ensure a successful outcome. The Project Manager will lead the day‑to‑day delivery management of the Oracle Fusion Finance application implementations, working in partnership with the Business Solution Architect and the System Integration partner. The role will oversee planning, coordination, governance and delivery execution across all Fusion Finance workstreams, ensuring the programme is delivered on time, within scope and within agreed budget.
Planning & Delivery
Own integrated planning and end‑to‑end delivery of Fusion Finance workstreams, including scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies and critical path. Coordinate day‑to‑day delivery activities across functional, technical, data and testing resources within the workstream. Track progress against plan, proactively manage issues, risks and dependencies to ensure delivery on time. Work with other programme managers to ensure the full scope of the programme is efficiently controlled.
Functional Lead Partnership
Work closely with the Functional Leads and functional experts to translate functional scope into clear delivery plans and executable activities. Ensure functional design, build, testing and deployment activities are appropriately sequenced and resourced. Support the Functional Leads in managing priorities and resolving delivery constraints, particularly ensuring that the EPM and ERP milestones are harmonised.
Governance, Reporting & Controls
Manage workstream governance in line with programme standards, including RAID logs, status reporting and milestone reviews. Prepare and present regular workstream status updates to the Programme Directors and programme forums. Ensure adherence to programme change control and approval processes and work with the Finance PMO team to ensure consistent approaches and communications.
Resource & Vendor Coordination
Coordinate internal resources working with system integrator teams and third‑party vendors within the workstream. Monitor delivery partner performance against agreed plans and escalate issues as required. Support onboarding and alignment of new resources into the workstream.
Integration & Dependency Management
Identify and manage cross‑workstream and programme dependencies, working with peer PMs, workstream leads and the programme PMO. Manage dependencies between EPM modules and ERP Finance processes (e.g. GL, COA, master data) and with the People Fusion HCM programme. Coordinate integration points between EPM and ERP, and downstream reporting platforms. Work with Data and Technical Leads to ensure data flows and cutover activities are aligned across workstreams.
Testing & Deployment Support
Plan and manage workstream activities across all testing phases (System, Integration, UAT). Coordinate defect management, readiness assessments and entry/exit criteria for each testing stage. Support cutover planning, go‑live and early life support activities for the workstream.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Act as a key point of coordination between business stakeholders, Functional Leads, Technical Leads and delivery partners. Ensure clear communication of workstream plans, risks, decisions and progress across business and delivery teams.
