Senior Software Engineer (Java)
Manchester (hybrid)
£70-90,000 plus generous benefits
A new UK team being built for an established European business. Growing UK presence means we can build a UK team of engineers, to work on a modern life & pension platform. You’ll start by contributing to international projects (Denmark and the Netherlands) to gain hands‑on product experience and then help drive new implementations in the UK.
The tech stack is a modern Java stack. Full microservice architecture and integrated devops, cicd and testing.
You’ll be working on-
- Designing and building REST APIs and integrating components into large system landscapes
- Actively contributing to the creation and development of the UK tech roadmap
- Working with automated testing and performance optimisation
- Supporting the growth of the team, process improvement, helping recruit if you wish to get involved
Experience we are seeking–
In these early days some industry experience would be highly beneficial (pensions, insurance or related finance/fintech)
Java stack experience
Modern architectures and ways of working
Some experience in high growth or scale-up, start-up type operation would be useful but not essential
A degree or equivalent would be preferred
