Role Overview

Albany Beck is growing it’s Change & Transformation practice and are looking to hire a Junior PMO Analyst, to work on an immediate deployment onsite with one of our largest Banking clients, based in Birmingham. This role is ideal for someone with early experience in Project Management or Business Analysis, looking to build on their skills within a structured PMO function. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting reporting, financial tracking, and delivery oversight, with a strong focus on data analysis and insight generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and Programme teams with day-to-day coordination and delivery activities
  • Assist in maintaining project plans, milestones, and delivery tracking
  • Support governance processes and ensure adherence to PMO standards and frameworks
  • Produce regular programme reporting and dashboards
  • Perform variance analysis across budgets, timelines, and resource plans
  • Analyse project data to identify trends, risks, and performance insights
  • Support the preparation of materials for stakeholder and governance forums
  • Support tracking of project financials, forecasts, and actuals
  • Maintain accurate data across PMO tools and reporting systems
  • Assist in reconciling data and ensuring consistency across multiple sources
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across Business, Technology, and Change teams
  • Support the coordination of meetings, actions, and follow-ups
  • Provide clear and structured updates on project status and progress

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a PMO, Project Support or Business Analysis role (or strong relevant internship experience)
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in variance analysis and data interpretation
  • Highly tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn new tools and systems
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with TM1 (IBM Planning Analytics)
  • Exposure to financial tracking and project budgeting processes
  • Understanding of project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
