Learning & Development Manager
Belfast – Food Manufacturing
I’m working with a growing food manufacturer in Northern Ireland looking to appoint a Learning & Development Manager to build and lead the training function across the business.
This is a newly created role with responsibility for developing, implementing and continuously improving learning and development across production, technical and support teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the site learning & development strategy
- Build training matrices across all departments
- Design onboarding and competency-based training programmes
- Support production leadership with skills development
- Ensure compliance with food safety and customer standards
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Technical and HR
- Track training effectiveness and competency progression
- Drive continuous improvement in capability across the site
Ideal Background
- Learning & Development / Training experience in manufacturing
- Food manufacturing experience highly desirable
- Experience building training frameworks from scratch
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Hands-on and structured approach
