Role Purpose
A hybrid technical role covering 1st and 2nd line support, data analysis, and the development of AI-powered and automated solutions.
Responsibilities
1st Line Support
- Act as the first point of contact for IT issues.
- Log, triage, and resolve incidents within SLA.
- Diagnose basic hardware, software, and access issues.
- Support Microsoft 365 tools including Teams and Outlook.
2nd Line Support
- Troubleshoot escalated complex issues.
- Administer AD/Entra ID accounts and permissions.
- Support servers, networking, and enterprise systems.
- Produce root-cause analysis for recurring issues.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Extract, clean, and analyse data from systems.
- Develop reporting dashboards in Power BI.
- Identify data quality issues and improvements.
- Support forecasting and KPI tracking.
AI Support & Enablement
- Assist staff in using MS Copilot and internal AI tools.
- Create and refine prompt templates.
- Guide safe and responsible AI use.
- Troubleshoot AI tool output and integrations.
Automation & Workflow Development
- Build & maintain simple automations using Power Automate or scripts.
- Automate repetitive IT tasks.
- Document automations and ensure knowledge transfer.
Skills & Experience (Essential)
- Excellent communication with technical and non-technical users.
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into simple language.
Desirable Skills
- Basic PowerShell or Python scripting.
- SQL querying for data extraction.
- Experience supporting ERP or specialist business systems.
- Exposure to Azure cloud services.
This is a hybrid based 3 days a week in our Nottingham office, NG2, with two days working from home.
The salary bracket for this role is £35,000 to £40,000 per annum + a wide array of employee benefits.
