Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor (NQ–3 PQE)

Location: Manchester

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a junior Construction Solicitor to join a leading, international law firm with a strong presence in Manchester. The firm is widely recognised for its work across the infrastructure, energy, real estate, and development sectors, advising major UK and global clients on high-value and complex projects.

The Role

You will join a well-established construction team focusing on non-contentious matters, working closely with colleagues across real estate, projects, and commercial teams. Your work will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating a range of construction documents, including building contracts, professional appointments, and collateral warranties
  • Advising on procurement strategies and project structuring
  • Supporting major development and infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally
  • Providing risk management advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale transactions

About You

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or due to qualify soon), with up to 3 years’ PQE
  • Some experience in construction law (contentious or non-contentious), with a strong interest in specialising in non-contentious work
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills
  • Commercially aware with a keen interest in the construction and infrastructure sectors
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
