The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead a dedicated care team within a specialist residential setting. You will hold full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the service, ensuring safe, effective and person-centred care, strong governance, and full compliance with CQC and safeguarding standards.
This role would also suit a highly capable Deputy Manager ready to step up into a Registered Manager position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong, visible leadership, fostering a positive, values-led and empowering culture
- Ensure the service is safe, responsive, effective and well-led in line with CQC expectations
- Oversee person-centred care planning, risk management and positive behaviour support
- Recruit, develop and retain a skilled and motivated workforce, leading on supervision, training and performance management
- Maintain robust governance processes, including audits, incident management and continuous improvement plans
- Build effective working relationships with families, commissioners, social workers and multi-disciplinary professionals
- Manage resources and budgets responsibly, supporting service sustainability and quality outcomes
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager, or significant experience as a Deputy Manager ready to progress
- Background in mental health, learning disability, autism and/or complex needs services
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality assurance frameworks
- A recognised management qualification (e.g. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care) or willingness to work towards this
- A calm, confident and compassionate leadership style with excellent communication skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and lead continuous service improvement
- A genuine commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused and outcomes-led care
