SENIOR CORPORATE LEGAL COUNSEL – INTERNATIONAL MARKET LEADER

This is a key leadership role within the Group Legal team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day corporate legal agenda across a complex, international business.

You will take ownership of core corporate and commercial legal matters, enabling the organisation to operate effectively, make informed decisions, and deliver at pace. Alongside this, you will lead and develop a small team and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of lawyers across multiple disciplines, ensuring strong performance and development
  • Oversee day-to-day corporate legal matters across the group
  • Partner with Finance, Treasury, Tax, Corporate Transactions, and Procurement on operational and strategic matters
  • Provide pragmatic advice on corporate governance and commercial issues
  • Act as a key legal partner to senior stakeholders across the business
  • Support Finance and People on cross-functional initiatives
  • Drive improvements in processes, ways of working, and use of legal technology

Key Requirements

  • City-trained lawyer with significant in-house corporate/commercial legal experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
  • Broad corporate and commercial skill set, including governance
  • Experience operating in a complex, international organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management and commercial acumen
  • Pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach
