Job Description:

I am currently assisting my client in the Home Counties identity a Licensing Manager & Community Safety Manager on a interim basis.

  • Role: Licensing Manager
  • Contract Length: 3/6 months
  • Days on site: 1 day per week (Wednesday preferred)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Rate: Negotiable

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • A licensing or legal qualification
  • Membership of a professional body related to licensing (IoL)
  • Extensive knowledge of legislation relating to the licensing function
  • Thorough understanding of court procedures and the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
  • The gathering of other evidence in support of legal proceedings. (RIPA)
  • Excellent conflict management skills
  • Ability to discharge the duties of a Responsible Authority as regards the Licensing Act 2003
  • Full driving licence and access to a car for work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Licensing & Community Safety Team leader and contribute to the corporate management of the Service.
  • Ensure that strategies and policies for the Licensing Team are developed, implemented and updated
  • Discharge the duties of a Responsible Authority as regards the Licensing Act 2003, as amended.
  • Prepare committee reports and attend committee as required
