Chief Manufacturing Officer – European Operations (Pet Food)
QLM is partnered with a U.S. headquartered pet food business that is investing heavily across Europe through acquisition, building a scaled, multi-site manufacturing footprint across Europe.
Following a series of recent acquisitions, the business is now looking to appoint a Chief Manufacturing Officer to take ownership of its UK manufacturing network, bringing structure, consistency and performance across a growing portfolio of sites.
This is a pivotal appointment. The role will sit at the centre of integration, performance and future growth.
The Opportunity
You will take full responsibility for manufacturing across multiple sites, with a clear mandate to stabilise, align and elevate performance across the network. The sites are at different stages of maturity, and the immediate focus will be on creating consistency in standards, output and operational control.
Beyond this, the role will play a key part in integrating newly acquired businesses, shaping the future manufacturing footprint and building a platform that can scale alongside continued investment.
This role requires someone who is comfortable setting direction and being present within operations, ensuring that plans translate into delivery as well as strategy development.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
You will lead all aspects of manufacturing, including production, engineering, technical and site leadership.
Key priorities will include:
- Bringing alignment across multiple acquired sites, establishing consistent operating standards and ways of working
- Driving improvements in throughput, efficiency and cost control across the network
- Leading integration activity, ensuring continuity of supply while aligning systems, processes and teams
- Building capability within site leadership teams and strengthening accountability across the estate
- Working closely with supply chain and commercial teams to ensure manufacturing plans are realistic, executable and commercially aligned
