Planning Manager

PE Global is recruiting a Planning Manager for our client based in Kent. The role is an initial 9-month contract and the rate is £25 P/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the Master Production Schedule (0–13 weeks) and Sales & Operations Planning (3–24 months)
• Oversee order book management, scheduling, and order fulfilment processes
• Lead and optimise inventory management, including aged and slow-moving stock
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
• Implement and track KPIs to measure planning and inventory effectiveness
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning and scheduling processes
• Manage and support the Customer Service team to ensure excellent client communication
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with site and business objectives

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a planning or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment
• Experience in pharmaceutical or highly regulated industries (highly desirable)
• Individuals primary workstation is located in the manufacturing area, where the noise level is high.
• Work schedule may include 12-hours shift during days.
• Strong understanding of GMP and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Proactive, driven, and focused on continuous improvement
