Position: New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer Consultant
Location: UK – Remote
Client: Biopharmaceutical
Type: Full-time – 6 months contract initially (possibility of extension or permanent)
Main Responsibilities
- Support product change management and handle non-conformance issues
- Prepare procurement documentation (business cases, work orders), raise purchase requests, and track orders to completion
- Coordinate and communicate with suppliers and contract manufacturing partners, including occasional on-site visits
- Ensure medical device documentation is complete in collaboration with quality teams and suppliers
- Provide regular updates on progress and activities to management
- Assist with additional tasks to support NPI project execution
Main Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in fast-paced medical device or pharmaceutical environments (ISO 13485 and/or 21 CFR Part 820); inhalation experience is a plus
- Degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related engineering field
- Strong ability to structure and clearly communicate complex issues
- Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and asking the right questions
- Practical application of technical knowledge in real-world scenarios
- Logical, pragmatic problem-solving approach
