Senior Finance Analyst (BI)

Up to £65,000 + Bonus

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high‑exposure Finance/Data function where you will shape insight for senior leaders, work directly with the executive team, and play a central role in how the business uses data to guide strategic decisions. If you are commercially minded, strong with SQL, and enjoy answering complex performance questions, this role offers real impact and visibility.

The Company

They are a large, well‑established consumer business undergoing positive change in how they use data to drive financial and strategic decision making. Their BP&A team sits at the centre of the organisation, partnering with senior stakeholders and providing impartial analysis on market trends, operational performance and investment decisions. As their data capabilities evolve, they are strengthening their analytical toolkit and enhancing how data flows across the business.

The Role

• Provide analytical support on key strategic questions, including performance drivers, market expansion, new channels and investment cases.

• Use SQL to extract, join and manipulate data from Snowflake and other sources to answer business‑critical questions.

• Develop reporting and insights that translate complex trends into clear recommendations for decision makers.

• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand context, build relationships and challenge assumptions where needed.

• Contribute to automation and new analytical processes, alongside supporting existing tools such as Power BI and Alteryx.

• Combine analytical outputs with strong commercial judgement to guide executives on what actions to take next.

Your Skills and Experience

• Strong commercial experience using SQL to work with multiple datasets, joins and tables.

• Experience working with financial data, and ability to interpret P&L and cashflow drivers, with an understanding of how performance links to financial outcomes.

• Confident communicator able to partner with senior stakeholders, work in ambiguity and influence decisions.

• Skilled in building clear, actionable insights and storytelling.

• Experience with Power BI.

• Financial analysis knowledge is helpful but not essential if analytical capability is strong.
