Junior Data Scientist

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Data Scientist to join our data team. This entry-level role focuses on analyzing data, supporting machine learning initiatives, and delivering insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in the field of data science and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends and patterns
• Assist in building, testing, and validating machine learning models
• Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements
• Support A/B testing, experimentation, and model evaluation
• Document analytical processes, methodologies, and findings
• Stay updated with emerging trends in data science and AI

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• 0–1 year of experience in data science, data analysis, or a related role (internships included)
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis
• Basic understanding of statistics, probability, and machine learning concepts
• Familiarity with data libraries such as Pandas and NumPy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and data storytelling abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database systems
• Experience with machine learning libraries (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or similar)
• Understanding of data pipelines and ETL concepts
