We are pleased to be partnering with a welcoming secondary school in the Somerset area to recruit a General Cover Teacher for a maternity cover position.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a confident cover supervisor looking to broaden their classroom experience across a variety of subjects within a supportive school environment.
The Role
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Create and maintain a positive, focused learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensure continuity of learning in the absence of permanent staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience working in a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to adapt quickly and confidently across different subjects
- A flexible, proactive, and professional approach
