We’re supporting a growing engineering and manufacturing business operating within a fast-paced mechatronics environment, looking to appoint a Senior Manufacturing Engineer.

This is a first-of-its-kind role within the business, created to bring a more structured and proactive approach to manufacturing engineering. You’ll work closely with operations to evolve process maturity, improve efficiency and reduce scrap, with the opportunity to shape how the function develops.

  • Leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Reducing scrap and rework through better process control and engineering solutions
  • Supporting production with tooling, fixturing and process optimisation
  • Introducing and embedding best practice manufacturing engineering methods
  • Collaborating with design and NPI teams to ensure products are optimised for manufacture
  • Building structure where needed, establishing processes, documentation and standards

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in a Manufacturing Engineer or Process Engineer role within a production environment
  • Strong track record of delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, yield or cost
  • Experience working closely with operations and production teams
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to be present on the shop floor
  • Comfortable operating in an environment where you are building or improving structure
  • Experience within a mechatronics, electro-mechanical or complex manufacturing environment would be beneficial
