About The Role
Resonate Testing are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Test and Quality Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of our quality management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and other relevant standards.
You will play a key role in both quality assurance and hands-on test engineering activities, acting as the primary engineer for related enquiries and contracts. While prior experience in testing is beneficial, full training will be provided for candidates with a strong interest in developing these skills.
This is a critical position that contributes directly to operational excellence, customer confidence, and the company’s accredited testing capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain ISO 9001 certification and ISO 17025 accreditation.
- Ensure ISTA Certified Test Lab status.
- Serve as the main contact for accreditation/certification bodies during audits and assessments.
- Conduct and coordinate internal audits across all company processes and testing activities.
- Coordinate the Management Review process and maintain controlled documentation.
- Monitor corrective actions and explore new opportunities for certifications and accreditations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain testing processes in allocated fields. Training can be provided for testing for candidates with a strong interest in these areas.
- Evaluate test enquiries and compile quotations.
- Plan and support test preparation and execution.
- Compile and deliver test reports as required.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues.
- Act as the key contact for customer quality queries, assessments, and audit visits.
- Ensure supplier quality performance is maintained and reviewed.
- Serve as the technical contact for customer tests in allocated fields.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineer, Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ hands‑on experience in a quality assurance, quality engineering, or regulated technical environment, with clear responsibility for quality-related activities.
- Practical working knowledge of testing processes, including test preparation, execution, documentation, and traceability in an engineering or laboratory setting.
- Experience working to defined procedures and controlled documentation, with a strong understanding of accuracy, repeatability, and data integrity.
- Demonstrable ability to identify, investigate, and support resolution of non‑conformances or quality issues.
While prior experience in testing is beneficial, full training will be provided for candidates with a strong interest in developing these skills.
Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Experience working within a laboratory or test facility, particularly where safety‑critical or accredited testing is performed.
- Direct involvement in maintaining or operating a Quality Management System, including document control, internal audits, corrective actions, or management review inputs.
- Working familiarity with ISO 17025 and/or ISO 9001, demonstrated through:
- Participation in internal or external audits, and/or
- Day‑to‑day use of these standards within a quality or testing role.
- Experience supporting or delivering mechanical or environmental testing activities.
- Confidence producing clear, auditable technical or quality documentation (e.g. test records, reports, procedures).

Salary £30,000 – £36,000 (based on experience)
