Taylor Root is working with a UK headquartered, well-established climate charity with an international, expansive footprint. The organisation is looking to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel to work closely with the Head of Legal across a wide range of legal matters.
As part of a lean, warm, and collaborative team, you’ll be working closely with internal stakeholders on high-profile events, partnerships, marketing arrangements, sponsorship, and campaigns. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts. Developing, updating, and standardising templates and policies.
- Supporting the Head of Legal in improving processes and optimising how legal work with the organisation.
- Identifying and mitigating legal risks across partnerships and projects. Providing clear and pragmatic advice so that teams can make informed decision-making.
- Providing advice on data protection requirements, including GDPR.
- Supporting business teams, including Finance, HR, and Operations on ad hoc queries.

Profile required:
- Qualified solicitor, in England and Wales or a common-wealth jurisdiction, with at least 5 years’+ PQE.
- Demonstrable experience drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts.
- Solid GDPR/data privacy experience.
- In-house experience preferable.
- Someone with high integrity, professionalism, and collegiality.
