We are looking for a Project Manager to join our positive and dynamic team; someone who is willing to learn but is also confident enough to bring their own knowledge and experience to the table.

Field and Lawn Ltd is a national company made up of four divisions: Festive Lighting, Placemaking, Event Marquee Hire and Temporary Buildings. With bases in Bristol/London, Runcorn and Edinburgh, we have seen consistent growth each year across all our divisions, and we are looking to continue this success.

We are looking for someone to attract new business alongside managing and delivering existing contracts within our Festive Lighting and Placemaking divisions. We are a multi-faceted business, and we like to operate efficiently, dynamically and with client satisfaction at the core of our values. We deliver Festive Lighting and Placemaking contracts for some of the biggest and most recognised high streets and shopping areas across London including Oxford St, Bond St, Covent Garden and the Strand to name a few.

The Role – Summary

This is a unique Project Management role whereby you will be THE main point of contact for the client, from initial enquiry through to post contract debrief and everything in between. You will have full autonomy to develop relationships with new and existing clients with 100% support from the senior management team. You will be passionate about customer service and being the best in the business and we will achieve this by delivering projects safely and efficiently from start to finish. The role is diverse with responsibilities to manage the lifecycle of a project and be in control of every detail.

It involves generating quotes, budgeting, visiting and measuring up potential sites, developing plans and schedules for a successful installation and aiding the development of positive relations to achieve a high percentage of profitable, repeat business. You will need to manage clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, installers and public bodies to ensure that projects run smoothly, and any obstacles are overcome.

You will report directly to the Regional Director of our Southern branch and would have close liaison with our company Directors to produce sales plans and delivery objectives to achieve your stated aims and wider company targets. Most of the projects will be located in London and the Southern half of England, but a flexible working pattern may be required depending on the nature and location of future projects.

                                                      

The Role – Detail

New Business Development – Responsible for proactively seeking business opportunities and building sound relationships. Play an active role in marketing and advertising strategies. 

Relationship Development – Responsible for proactively developing sound relationships with clients to ensure that full requirements are known, communicated and understood to enable delivery to their satisfaction and within established costs.

Enquiries & Quotations – Responsible for efficiently handling enquiries, understanding customer needs and, then preparation and timely delivery of appropriate quotations ensuring the correct authorisation process is adhered to.

Job Costing – Responsible for ensuring quotations are costed accurately and then priced appropriately in order to win the business whilst also aiming to achieve long term customer value and achieve the targeted returns.

Site Meetings – Responsible for conducting site meetings with the prospective clients, to survey the site including site specific risk assessments and building strong relations.

Project Management – Responsible for effective delivery of contracts under your control. This will often require meticulous planning and you will be the conduit between the client and our operational team.

The Person

We are looking for someone with transferable skills that is keen to progress their career whilst learning our procedures. This person will join our Southern branch and will be expected to work remotely, based within a commutable distance to central London. Occasional visits to our Bristol branch will be required for approximately 2 days a month and we will cover the cost of transport and accommodation. The person should be happy to work as part of a team as well as being self-motivated, well organised, articulate, and efficient.
