Job Summary:
We’re seeking a highly conceptual, hands-on Art Director with strong creative instincts and a passion for turning ideas into high-impact, platform-native visuals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can seamlessly move between big-picture thinking and detailed execution.
A strong background in advertising and marketing, the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of social-first storytelling and know how to craft campaign work that resonates across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Meta etc. with a proven ability to craft compelling visuals and ideas that resonate with diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Conceptualization
- Develop and execute innovative visual concepts across various media channels, including digital, social, print, and video.
- Art Direction
- Lead the visual direction of campaigns and projects from concept through to execution and final delivery, ensuring creative excellence at every stage.
- Visual Execution
- Create and oversee high-quality designs across static, motion and video formats, maintaining a high bar for craft, detail and consistency.
- Content Creation
- Be hands-on in the creation of social and digital content, delivering platform-appropriate assets that feel native and engaging.
- Collaboration
- Collaborate with copywriters to craft engaging storytelling and ideas, and with designers to translate those concepts into refined, high-impact visual executions.
- Client Engagement
- Confidently present ideas, articulate creative rationale and contribute to pitches and new business opportunities.
- Brand Stewardship
- Ensure all creative aligns with brand guidelines while continuously pushing boundaries to elevate the work.
- Trend & Platform Awareness
- Stay ahead of emerging trends, formats and platform behaviors to keep content fresh, relevant and effective.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as an Art Director, Senior Designer or similar role (agency experience preferably within an advertising or marketing agency).
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), with a solid understanding of video editing and motion graphics tools.
- Social Media Expertise: Deep understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) and content strategies tailored to each.
- Creative Vision: Exceptional conceptual skills, with the ability to think outside the box and push creative boundaries.
- Versatility: A strong portfolio showcasing social, digital and campaign work, comfortable working across various mediums and channels, from traditional print to digital, motion and video-led content and social.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas to clients and team members.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, with high standard of craft and execution. Alongside a keen eye for aesthetics and design principles.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and solve creative challenges efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with top-tier global brands across various industries. (Bonus if you bring experience across FMCG brands, particularly beauty/luxury.)
- Familiarity with video production, photography, and other forms of multimedia content creation.
- Knowledge of data-driven creative strategies and performance marketing.
- A deep understanding of production techniques and how to implement them into your thinking
- The ability to scamp ideas to help sell in ideas and explain rationale both internally & externally
