I am working with a well respected and cash rich land promotion business to appoint a strategic land & planning manager/development manager into their London team.

This is a standout opportunity for someone who wants to be heavily involved in real deal-making and development, not just reporting. You’ll be working on a strong pipeline of strategic sites, taking projects from identification right through to planning and value realization.

The Role:

This is a hands-on position where you’ll be given the autonomy to make things happen.

You’ll be:

• Sourcing and assessing new strategic land opportunities
• Leading on planning strategy and driving sites through the promotion process
• Managing local plan representations, planning applications and appeals
• Working closely with landowners, agents and local authorities
• Instructing and managing consultants to push sites forward
• Playing a key role in negotiations and securing new deals

What they’re looking for:

• Post graduate with 3+ years experience in strategic land, planning or development working for either a consultancy or housebuilder/developer
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
• Experience promoting land or working on complex planning strategies
• Commercial mindset able to spot value and opportunity
• Confident communicator who can build relationships and influence outcomes
• Someone proactive who wants to take ownership of projects
