Link Group also acts a debt servicer in a number of European locations. The Group’s proprietary operating system, used primarily by the group’s debt servicing entities, is developed and maintained by Link Data Management Solutions (“LDMS”) which is based in Cardiff. This role will also be responsible for the financial control of LDMS.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the accounting and financial management of the LCM Group of companies (LCM Partners Limited, LCM Capital LLP and a number of General Partner vehicles) and LDMS. The key responsibilities are to manage the day-to-day accounting, monthly reporting and assisting in the year-end financial reporting processes for these entities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for line managing an Assistant Accountant, who will support this role.

  • Maintaining the books and records for several UK entities including the Investment Management (“IM”) companies and certain SPVs including preparing bank reconciliations, calculating accruals and prepayments and invoicing, and ensuring intercompany positions are reconciled to subsidiary positions
  • preparation of the monthly management pack and other business specific analysis including development of KPI’s and other information to aid commercial decision making
  • Preparing, submitting and verifying the payroll
  • Ensuring that chargeable expenses incurred by LCM are properly recovered from the Funds managed by LCM where appropriate
  • Administering capital calls, including payments and accounting for investments
  • Preparing the Annual Financial Statements for a number of LCM entities, and liaising with the audit team during the audit
  • Reviewing and liaising with tax advisors for corporation tax purposes
  • Preparing the annual Research and Development Expenditure Credit return in conjunction with professional advisors
  • Undertaking treasury activities for LCM in conjunction with Group Finance (e.g. lending of surplus LCM funds to the Group)
  • Preparing the quarterly FCA returns for LCM Capital LLP, with review from Group Finance, ensuring regulatory capital requirements are monitored and maintained
  • Monitoring and forecasting of cash flow and funding requirements 
  • Preparation of the annual budget for all entities for which the Finance Manager is responsible
  • It is anticipated that in addition to the above the Finance Manager might assist on Group finance projects such as transfer pricing, invoice processing automation etc. 

Essential role requirements 

  • A recognised accounting qualification – preferably ACA, but will consider CIMA or ACCA
  • Significant experience of working within a small finance team preferably within the financial markets sector, and preferably within an asset management environment
  • Willing to take on new tasks in a growing business and looking for ways to improve procedures
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are important, as the role will regularly interface with senior management 
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central would be a benefit.

Note, not required to be expert in all, but broad understanding essential.
