The Opportunity:

We’re hiring a hands‑on technical professional to own Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs across our portfolio and to run the technical project engine that supports customers and suppliers.

You will help define and scale our product portfolio by translating complex chemistry and regulation into clear, repeatable processes. This involves maintaining accurate technical documentation (SDS/TDS), managing critical regulatory submissions (REACH, KKDIK and TSCA etc.), and ensuring our suppliers are fully equipped for international markets through the strategic coordination of R&D and technical trials with customers, suppliers and academic partners.

Key responsibilities:

  • Product Stewardship
  • Own product master data (documentation, specifications, technical collateral etc.) and coordinate with suppliers to close data gaps
  • Match customer/competitor needs to suitable supplier products & propose alternative
  • Create, review and update SDS/TDS and technical collateral with suppliers, ensuring accuracy, consistency and version control
  • Support pricing, product lifecycle decisions, and prepare technical presentations
  • Assist in implementation of Product Information Management (PIM) systems
  • Regulatory Affairs & Compliance
  • Interpret and communicate regulatory obligations (EU/UK REACH, KKDIK, TSCA, CLP/GHS etc.)
  • Coordinate submissions/registrations with suppliers and external consultants/Only Representatives where required
  • Manage customer RFIs, due diligence requests, and coordinate supplier responses
  • Maintain regulatory records, manage updates, and flag compliance risks
  • R&D & Technical Projects
  • Build and manage Anstar’s R&D project portfolio, coordinating projects with third‑party consultants, suppliers and academic partners
  • Coordinate trials, test plans and data analysis
  • Analyse results and translate into product positioning, improvements or new product opportunities
  • Support Sales with technical evaluations and customer onboarding
  • Contribute technical input to contracts and negotiations
  • Monitor market trends & competitor activity to guide product and regulatory strategy
  • Promote continuous improvement across processes and documentation

Essential requirements for the role:

  • BSc/MSc in Chemistry or related field; PhD or equivalent research is a plus
  • Proven project management capability
  • Strong analytical and data‑evaluation skills
  • Commercial awareness with sound technical judgement
  • Experience with SDS/TDS and familiarity with major regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to produce client‑ready materials
  • Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally
  • High proficiency across Microsoft Office products, ChatGPT and related LLMs and general IT
  • Willingness to travel across UK and globally, including semi‑regular visits to Leeds HQ
  • PhD in Chemistry (or equivalent research experience)
  • Experience in B2B speciality chemicals, especially in UV‑curing and Nutraceuticals
  • Involvement with regulatory submissions/ registration workflows or dossier coordination
  • Collaboration with universities and translating R&D into commercial outcomes
  • Familiarity with data/statistical tools for technical analysis

The interview process will consist of an initial phone call, followed by 2-3 interview rounds.
